Bubble Street Gallery
Art Gallery · 565 Bridgeway, Sausalito, CA 94965
Verified September 2026
Not a multi-artist gallery — this is fantastical-realist painter Daniel Merriam's own studio and showroom, built around the surreal, dreamlike worlds and floating bubbles that give the place its name. Merriam has been painting this way for decades, and the gallery is essentially a walk through one artist's imagination rather than a curated group show. It's the most distinct thing on gallery row precisely because nothing here looks like what's hanging two doors down.
What To Expect
Original paintings and limited-edition prints of Merriam's whimsical, almost storybook-surreal scenes — expect a smaller, single-vision collection rather than a broad survey of styles.
Getting There
Near the south end of downtown Bridgeway, an easy stop right after you get off the ferry and before the rest of gallery row starts.
Good To Know
Generally open daily from around 10 to 5, but as an owner-run studio-gallery, hours can shift with the artist's schedule — worth a quick call ahead if it's the one stop you don't want to miss.
Our Take
Skip this if you want investment-grade art; visit it if you want to see something genuinely different. It's the one gallery on this street you'll still be describing to someone weeks later.
