A genuine French bistro on Bridgeway, not just a breakfast cafe as the name might suggest — the menu runs to soupe à l'oignon gratinée, moules marinières, bouillabaisse, duck confit, and steak frites, the kind of brasserie cooking that takes itself a little more seriously than the storefront lets on. The small footprint and sidewalk tables make it easy to walk past without noticing, which is part of why it stays manageable even during the busiest tourist weekends.

Cafe-casual for brunch, a touch more composed by dinner, with a handful of sidewalk tables that catch the morning sun before Bridgeway gets crowded. Weekday mornings run quiet enough to actually read a newspaper; weekend brunch fills up fast.
What To Order
The moules marinières or the steak frites for dinner; the Dungeness crab eggs benedict is the standout at brunch, alongside a proper croque madame if you want something simpler. The Bolinas black cod is worth asking about if it's on the board that night.
